Welcome

Welcome

Founded in 1918, as Vancouver Natural History Society, Nature Vancouver offers a variety of activities with a focus on nature education, and enjoyment and conservation of natural environment. We organize  EVENING PROGRAMS (from September to April), FIELD TRIPS (throughout the year),  an annual SUMMER CAMP and occasional  workshops, and more.

The  BIRDINGBOTANY, GEOLOGY, MARINE BIOLOGYand PHOTOGRAPHY Sections provide a greater focus in specific areas of nature.

Nature Vancouver is also actively involved in CONSERVATION projects. Currently the projects include FALSE CREEK OYSTER SURVEYS and NEW BRIGHTON PARK RESTORATION.

Members of Nature Vancouver contribute to CITIZEN SCIENCE through e-Bird and iNaturalist

Nature Vancouver has been a strong supporter of Young Naturalists’ Club of BC now known as NatureKIDS BC

Whether you are just discovering the natural beauty of Vancouver and BC or are an experienced naturalist, we know you will enjoy the atmosphere and camaraderie of Nature Vancouver.
