Dawn Chorus: Round Two at Everett Crowley Park
Join Ly Hoang and Neill Vanhinsberg for an early morning of bird song at sunrise. We will be identifying birds by their song at the time of day when they sing the most. Migrants will have all returned and will be defending their territories with song. After the chorus quiets, we hope to see some of these songsters and take a stroll around the area. We can expect to hear several warbler species, some finches, sparrows and thrushes. Paths in the park are mostly hard packed with a few small hills.
Pre-registration is required and the event is limited to 15 participants. Email Neill Vanhinsberg to register or if you have any questions: nvanhinsberg@gmail.com Nature Vancouver members will be given priority but the event is open to all. Parking is available on the street by the park. Directions will be sent with confirmation of registration.
