Join Leader Naomi Ross in search of wildflowers and birds on Burnaby Mountain.  We start the hike by climbing 500 switchbacking stairs, during which there are several spectacular views of Indian Arm. We reach Centennial Pavilion at the top, which features totem poles, a rose garden and fantastic views of Howe Sound, Vancouver and Burnaby. We continue on the loop which has a gentle descent and easy terrain. This hike is about 10 km with an elevation gain of 360 m.  It should take between 2 1/2 and 3 hours. There is a picnic area at Barnet Marine Park for those who wish to have lunch following the hike. This hike is limited to 14 hikers including the leader. Pre-registration is required.  Email naomixross@hotmail.com to register.
