Birding in Jericho Beach Park
Join trip leaders Sarah-Jane McAuley, Harvey Dueck and Michelle Baudais for a morning of birding at Jericho Beach Park.
With a good range of habitats, from ocean to ponds and forest, Jericho is one of the more diverse birding areas in the lower mainland despite its very urban location; eBird shows 183 species reported there last year. April is an ideal time to explore Jericho. Many of the birds who spend the winter in Vancouver will not yet have left for their northern breeding grounds, and summer residents, such as swallows, and warblers will be arriving from the south.
This trip is now full. Please email webmaster@naturevancouver.ca to be placed on the waiting list. Details of where to meet will be emailed to registered participants.
New birders are welcome.
