Birding at Burnaby Lake
Join Istvan Orosi for a birding and plant identification trip at the Burnaby Lake Regional Park. We will meet in early morning. First heading towards the Nature House along the main trail, then returning, but this time we will take the outer loops. We will be looking for early migrants. Some early warblers and Rufus Hummingbirds are already here. Please brush up your bird sound identification skill, focusing on the local common songsters. Bring binoculars & spotting scope if you have one.
The walk would be finished before noon. Everybody should dress for the weather, the walking surface is very flat, with the exception of the Cariboo Dam Bridge area with a few stairs.
The trip will follow Nature Vancouver’s COVID safety protocols.
