Join Teresa Gagné & Denis Laplante to admire Manzanita in flower.

We will start at 9:30 from Cranleigh Dr and Bluebell Dr in West Vancouver, and walk up Nelson Creek in the general direction of the old helipad, passing through an arbutus forest (a bit early for flowers), and 3 sites where Manzanita in flower were seen last week.  We’ll then continue to Whyte lake and come down by the popular route.

Distance 6km, elevation gain 350m, around 3 hours.  Some moderately steep sections. 
Dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear. Hiking pole recommended. Bring a lunch or snack to enjoy in the forest if you wish.  Contact botany@naturevancouver.ca .
