Leader: Lyn Grants. We take the hike up the standard trail to and around the Whyte Lake and then head north on the forested trail to join the Baden Powell trail that starts above Horseshoe Bay. We stay on the Baden Powell, steep and rocky at times, until we come to a provincial park sign indicating Cypress Provincial Park boundary. We will make frequent stops to look at ferns, trees, mossy rock walls an other interesting things that might catch our eyes. Meet at Whyte Lake Parking Lot 9:30 am. Parking lot can be crowded so carpool if possible. Approx. 8km, 350m elevation gain. Nature Vancouver rating B strenuous.
