Scuba Diving Observations on the Marine Diversity of Howe Sound – Lee Newman
This habitat-focused presentation will illustrate a representative sample of the marine biodiversity of Howe Sound, as observed while SCUBA diving. While the presentation is primarily focused on the diversity of fishes and invertebrates, SCUBA diving is a day and night, as well as a year-round activity in Howe Sound, therefore the presentation will also include night-time and seasonal behavioural observations. There will be everything from worms to sharks!
Lee Newman has been SCUBA diving and making natural history observations in Howe Sound for over 25 years.
This presentation will be via Zoom Video Conferencing. On the Monday preceding the event, Nature Vancouver members will receive the Zoom link in the weekly e-News. The talk will begin at 7:30 pm. Non-members are welcome and should Email eNews@naturevancouver.ca a few days ahead to register for the link.
