Maplewood Conservation Area Tour
Meet leaders Stephen Partington, Kevin Bell and Jude Grass between the Corrigan Nature House and the plant nursery.
A birding, botanical & history tour of the entire publicly accessible area of Maplewood Conservation Area over 4-6 hours will allow participants sightings of resident and migrant birds, of native and introduced plants, and wild and modified landscapes. Everyone is encouraged to spot animals, plants, landscape features and other natural phenomena to share with the gang. Histories and future plans will be relayed in an informal manner at various points with the purpose of sparking curiosity to pursue further engagement in the Maplewood Consevation Area issues and activities.
This field day is not suitable for small children or for people with short attention spans, narrow biological interests or a disinterest in history and politics.
