Approximate duration of event & walking distance: Approximately 3 hours; 3 km there & back.
Description of the event: Join David for a tour into Lynn Canyon Park (south-east of Lynn Creek & immediately north of the cemetery) & along the Richard Juryn Trail in the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve to view black bear signs & learn about the different natural foods that the bears have been eating. If we are lucky we may see bear scats and even a bear.
Trail conditions: The Lynn Canyon Park section is a rough and poorly maintained trail while the Richard Juryn Trail is a well-groomed multi-use trail.
Be prepared: Bring a snack & water. Wear a hat as much of the route is open to the sun.
