A combined tour for the Lighthouse Park Preservation Society and Nature Vancouver.
This will be the first time this tour is offered.

Trip leader: David Cook (Geologist)
Meeting time & location: Start time 11:00 a.m. in the parking lot near the southern kiosk.
Duration of tour & length of tour: Approximately 3 hours & 2 km round trip.
Terrain: Route varies from easy to difficult. Elevation gain: 50 metres along Beacon Lane Trail.
Getting there: For people travelling by bus, the route is from Park Royal along Marine Drive. Stop at Beacon Lane & walk along Beacon Lane to the parking area at Lighthouse Park. For those driving there is a parking fee.
Description of the event: Walk along Beacon Lane to the lighthouse viewpoint then along East Beach Trail to East Beach. Enjoy views of Burrard Inlet. Learn about the geology of Lighthouse Park & the geology around Burrard Inlet as seen from Lighthouse Park.
Be prepared: Bring water, a snack & non-slip footwear. Tour may be cancelled due to rain.
Registration is required.
