Join trip leader Christine Balkwill for a thorough exploration of this wonderful little park on the edge of False Creek. The small pond affords good views and we’ll take our time to consider the identifying features of the ducks, finches and sparrows that we find there. Then we’ll check the larger trees for tits, kinglets, woodpeckers and warblers before heading east for a washroom break at the Burrard Marina and then walking back on the ocean side to look for gulls, cormorants, diving ducks or maybe a grebe. The walk is a little over 2 kilometers and is mostly on wet grass. Nearby parking is $1.50 an hour after 9 AM.  There are some free options a few blocks away and the #2 bus will get you close if you choose transit.  A limited number of binoculars are available to borrow.
