Getting there: For people travelling by bus, the route is from Park Royal along Marine Drive. For those driving, the route from the church to the meeting location (the anchor monument) is one-way.

Description of the event: The rocks on the shores of Caulfeild Park are the most accessible of the oldest rocks in the Vancouver area having their origin about 400 million years ago. Because of this accessibility and the uniqueness of the geology, geologists consider this site of great value in illustrating some of the processes that took place during the formation of granitic rocks. This value has now been recognized by the recent designation of the park as a Heritage Place & is part of the Howe Sound Biosphere Region Initiative. Also, we will view the geological & geomorphological features around Burrard Inlet.

Be prepared: Bring water, a snack, a hat as the area is open to the sky & non-slip footwear.
