Birds should be caring for fledglings, and young birds foraging in mixed flocks to prepare for migration, insectivorous species may be more active. There will be wildflowers in bloom and some plants fruiting. There should be plenty of butterflies. We will walk the Yew Lake Trail Loop, and the small old growth loop, then back to a cafe at the end. There is no change in elevation on this walk. Dress for variable conditions, cool at the start. The ground will be rocky and uneven at times, hiking poles may be helpful, and bring binoculars.
