This is a Welcome Walk outing

Meet leaders John Chandler and Neill Vanhinsberg at 9 AM by the Gift Shop at Reifel Bird Sanctuary for a half day birding excursion. If you are not a member of the sanctuary there is an entrance fee ($8/$6 for seniors). We have made a group booking so you do not need to reserve a parking spot. If there is someone at the gate checking bookings when you arrive, just say you are with the Nature Vancouver group. Though this walk is aimed at beginners, others are welcome to join us but should realize the walk may be slower paced than our usual outings.

We can expect a wide variety of bird species including good looks at many waterfowl, seed eating species, raptors and hopefully some shorebirds. We will be concentrating on finding and identifying birds and observing their different behaviours. Questions are encouraged. Please dress for the weather and bring a snack.
