Beginner Bird Walk – Queen Elizabeth Park

Kelvin Yip and Neill Vanhinsberg will co-lead a beginner friendly introductory bird walk around Queen Elizabeth Park on November 17th. We will share tips, experiences, and knowledge for getting into birding and we will be checking various areas around the park. The walk will start at 9 AM and will last approximately 2 hours. This is an easy walk on mostly level ground with a few small hills. Trails are either paved or hard packed. If you have mobility issues, please let us know and we can cater the walk to your needs.

We will focus on finding and identifying birds from a beginner’s perspective, then
observing their behavior. Questions are encouraged! You can check out the latest sightings at the park on ebird https://ebird.org/hotspot/L275836

Pre-registration is required, please email Kelvin Yip at kelvin@naturevancouver.ca to register for the walk and information on the meet-up location. Priority will be given to current Nature Vancouver members, please include in your email if you are a current Nature Vancouver member. Loaner binoculars are available on request.
