Instructions for online participation.
Many people are using Zoom videoconferencing these days to connect with coworkers family and friends; it’s not hard. The March 19 Botany night Zoom presentation went well.
- Download and install “Zoom Client for Meetings” from Zoom.us/download , where you will also find smartphone and tablet versions. You do not need to register a Zoom account. If you join the meeting without first installing, you will be prompted to install on the spot, which may leave you feeling rushed. I recommend doing a self-test at Zoom.us/test . You’ll get to test that the Zoom app is able to use your microphone and camera, and try out the meeting buttons.
- After 7:15pm on April 2 click on the link sent to NV members in Monday’s eNews. Email Denis info@NatureVancouver.ca if you didn’t get a copy.
- We are planning a short “who saw what” session to start, followed by Sonya’s PowerPoint slideshow, and finally Q&A. To get on the speakers list please wave your hand, or click on the “raise hand” button.
