Birding in Eastern South Africa
Eastern South Africa is a magnificent birding area with a tropical influence, resulting in an amazingly high bird diversity. Excellent game viewing and hordes of southern Africa highland endemics make it an excellent choice for world travellers. Our presenter Tom Plath will visit some of the region’s best birding sites, including the bird rich bushveld outside of Gauteng, Afromontane forest at Woodbush Drive, the endemic rich high veld grasslands of the inland plateau and the dramatic Drakensberg massif – the highest point in southern Africa.
This presentation will be aired via Zoom Video Conferencing. On the Monday preceding the event, Nature Vancouver members will receive the Zoom link in the weekly e-News. To join the talk on Thursday, click on that link after 7:15 pm. The talk will begin at 7:30 pm. Non-members are welcome and should Email denis@naturevancouver.ca well in advance to register for the link.
