Seven people showed up to see what Reifel had to offer this morning. As is often the case Reifel gave us a few quality sightings. Birding at Terra Nova Nature Reserve, Richmond

Trip report by Leader: Thomas Plath On January 23, 2020, a forecast of more rain kept participants away and only two people showed up for this mid-week walk. Despite the rain we were rewarded with great views of an adult Coyote along the border with the golf course, several close views of single Golden-crowned Kinglets and a perched male Varied Thrush, rather scarce at this park.

Twenty two members and two guests participated in this walk to start the new year. We started at Garry Point Park, at the South West corner of Richmond, and walked first around the park and then along Richmond West Dyke to Williams Road and back to Steveston for lunch at Shady Island Sea Food and Bar. Hayward Lake 🌿 2019-11-16 Trip Report —

3 cheerful hikers braved a drizzle for a lovely 16km walk through beautiful second-growth forest along Hayward Reservoir Trail, East of Mission. Hairsine Inlet floating bridge is still closed. A well-maintained easy trail with cumulative ascent of 385m, including 30m for the fantastic Steelhead Falls viewpoint. We saw many mushrooms, and loved the scent of well-named Vanilla Leaf. 15 hikers went to Cheakamus Lake on a beautiful sunny Monday. We pooled into 5 cars, and found the dreaded gravel road in pretty good condition for city cars, only a couple of hundred potholes.
