🦀🌿🦆Intertidal Exploration at Stanley Park, Vancouver

Happy Father’s Day! Treat your Dad to a day on the beach exploring the many cool species of marine life that have adapted to living in the intertidal area on the edge of Vancouver’s busy industrial harbor of Burrard Inlet.

Trip difficulty rating: A.

Plan on a 2.5-3 hour beach walk that goes rain or shine. Please wear appropriate attire for sun (visor and sun screen), wind or rain. Rubber boots or waterproof booties are necessary to fully enjoy this beach walk; or, be willing to get your feet wet. Bring water and a snack.

Please contact your leader, Sheila Byers, (scbyersattelus.net) if you have any questions or would like to carpool.

We will meet at the Children’s Water Park in Stanley Park (near Lumberman’s Arch) at 10:00 and explore the sandy and rocky areas from there. PAY parking only is available in Stanley Park. There is a small parking lot located directly across the road from the meeting spot. Sheila will be carrying a white bucket
