Did you know outdoor cats are the #1 source of human-related bird mortality in Canada? Join Nature Vancouver and the Stewardship Centre for BC for an insightful presentation exploring the state of native bird populations in British Columbia and the harmful impacts of free-roaming cats on birds and wildlife.

Ariadne Boutsakis will present recent research done in BC for the Stewardship Centre for BC’s Cats and Birds Program, highlighting the need for collaborative efforts to reduce the risks that cats pose to vulnerable bird species. Whether you’re a bird lover or cat owner (or both), learn about the actions you can take to create safer environments for our feathered and furry friends.

This presentation will be via Zoom Video Conferencing. On the Monday preceding the event, Nature Vancouver members will receive the Zoom link in the weekly e-News. The talk will begin at 7:30 pm. Non-members are welcome and should Email eNews@naturevancouver.ca a few days ahead to register for the link or join the Nature Vancouver Meetup Group and RSVP Yes to the event.
