– City Nature Challenge 2024 – Iona Beach Regional Park
Description
Join others throughout the Metro Vancouver Regional district who are participating in the City Nature Challenge, part of a global event to observe and record the biodiversity of living things! Help us to explore and share the incredible biodiversity of our area by observing nature all around us – birds, plants, butterflies, molluscs, trees, ferns and more! Join Nature Vancouver and all its partners in iNaturalist to help us record as many WILD plants and animals as possible throughout the district on land, in the air and in our marine environments.
Location
This is near the YVR airport, but a fantastic place for birds, plants and other taxa. Always a high result area and it has easy walkways. Meet near the washrooms next to the parking area.
All you need to do is:
- Download iNaturalist to your iPhone or Android phone or your home computer,
- Make an observation using photos or sound recordings using either your smartphone or any regular camera,
