170 of the roughly 360 known hummingbird species are found in Colombia.  We thought Nature Vancouver members might find looking at hummingbirds to be a pleasant distraction on the final day of 2023.

In this experimental livestream, experienced birding guide René Montero will point a camera at hummingbird feeders in Colombia and talk about the birds that appear.

We’ve never tried this sort of event before, but our Dec 28th trial run worked pretty well.   We’ve moved the start time an hour earlier so we’ll have more light for the cameras.
