CANCELLED – Winter Walk along Burnaby Lake & Brunette River

Cancelled due to freezing rain forecast.

Join Denis Laplante & Teresa Gagné for a 10 km walk along the north shore of Burnaby Lake and Brunette River to Hume Park in New Westminster. A chance to socialize on an easy walk in urban nature.  As of Monday, temperature prediction for Friday is -5C with moderate snow, so walking poles and micro-spikes recommended.

Meet at 10am outside the Sperling / Burnaby Lake  Station of SkyTrain Millennium line. Alternatively park at Burnaby Lake Nature House at the end of Piper Ave and wait around Piper Spit for the group to arrive there around 11:15. We will catch the SkyTrain at Braid St. Station around 2:30pm, but if you parked at the Nature House you’ll probably prefer to turn around earlier and walk back to your car.
