Sketching in nature is a great way to unwind, learn about local wildlife and plants and explore your creative side. Join us on our next Sketchbook Journaling outing at Fraser River Park in Vancouver. This park is a tranquil and inspiring spot with great views of the Fraser River from boardwalks that wind through restored tidal marshes, Nootka rose hedges, and stands of poplar, alder and willow. Cedar waxwings, chickadees, juncos, Anna’s hummingbirds, cormorants and a variety of ducks may be seen. All are welcome to this casual sketching session. Bring a pencil or pen; a notepad or sketchbook; and any other favourite, portable art materials if you have them.
