Yew Lake Area Botany Walk with Friends of Cypress Provincial Park
Yew Lake Area Botany Walk
Join Eva Nagy and Anne George, FCPP directors, for an exploration of the Yew Lake area. At this unique sub-alpine level on the North Shore Mountains both low and high elevation plant species can be found growing side by side resulting a rich and interesting botany walk.
The 2.5 km mostly level Yew Lake Trail passes through meadows, wetlands and the Old-Growth Loop in a true old-growth forest. Focus will be on plant ID and recording what’s in bloom.
Meet at 10:00 a.m. outside Cypress Creek Lodge (not Black Mtn. Lodge) near the Olympic rings. PLEASE register with Eva at 604-929-4286 or evnagy@shaw.ca
Also, let Eva know if you need a ride up the mountain and she will try to arrange it for you.
