Birds should be migrating through and foraging in mixed flocks, insectivorous species may be more active. Plants will be in full fruiting splendor, with some wildflowers still in bloom. There may still be some late butterflies. We will walk the Yew Lake Trail Loop, and the small old growth loop, then back to a cafe at the end. There is no change in elevation on this walk. Dress for variable conditions, cool at the start. The ground will be rocky and uneven at times, hiking poles may be helpful, and bring binoculars.
