🌿 Hike to Blue Gentian Lake

Join Christine Thuring (plant ecologist and urban greening expert) and Janet Snell for a botanical hike to Blue Gentian Lake via Brothers Creek/ Lawson Creek forestry heritage trails. Our route will depart from the Upper British Properties, and pass through old growth forest, including the massive Hollyburn fir. Blue Gentians are blooming at the lake along with other notable bog plants. See plant list at: https://cypresspark.ca/plants. 

The route is strenuous with steep and rooty sections. Sturdy hiking boots are essential; hiking pole(s) recommended. Bring snacks, a lunch and drink. Trip goes rain or shine so bring clothing for changeable weather.
