Join Sarah-Jane McAuley and Ly Hoang for a women’s only walk at Everett Crowley Park to celebrate International Women’s Day. We encourage all women to join us, especially those who don’t typically see themselves represented in birding spaces, such as women who identify as Indigenous, racialized, new immigrants, queer, living with disabilities, etcetera. Trans women are welcome and encouraged to attend! We will take our time to identify birds by their size, shape and behaviours.

The walk will start at 9:00 AM and will last about 1.5 to 2 hours. Please note daylight savings and ensure your clocks are moved forward. We will stick to the gravel trails, which are mostly level with a few small hills. Some trails may be in the off-leash dog area.

Also, please let us know in your email if you are a current member of Nature Vancouver, as spots are limited to 15 participants, priority will be given to Nature Vancouver members. We will have a small number of loaner binoculars so let us know if you’d like to borrow a pair.
