DESCRIPTION:Are you curious about rascally raccoons? Despite the common per
 ception that raccoons are highly intelligent\, formal investigation into r
 accoon behaviour and cognition is in its infancy. Join us on September 24 
 to delve into raccoon cognition with Hannah Griebling\, a PhD candidate fr
 om the Animal Behavior and Cognition Lab in the Department of Forest &amp\
 ; Conservation Sciences.\n\nIn this presentation\, Hannah will discuss wha
 t we know about raccoon behavior and cognition\, from sociality\, to probl
 em solving\, to self control. She will also discuss how these cognitive an
 d behavioral traits help raccoons adapt to urban life\, and how our unders
 tanding of raccoon cognition can help us conserve other species in BC.\n\n
 This presentation will take place online via Zoom.  On the Monday precedi
 ng the event\, Nature Vancouver members will receive the Zoom link in the 
 weekly e-News.  The talk will begin at 7:30 pm.  Non-members are welcome
