DESCRIPTION:\n\nTitle: Roche Point Forest\, a selectively logged old-growth
  forest ecosystem&nbsp\;recently dedicated as parkland.\n\nPresenter: Davi
 d Cook\, Biologist.\n\nRegistration is required in order to limit the numb
 er to a manageable size: Register with David at cookeco2@yahoo.com.\n\nMee
 ting times and location:&nbsp\;11:00 am at the cul de sac of Roche Point D
 rive South (north of Cates Park &amp\; Dollarton Highway). A map with dire
 ctions will be supplied to those who register.\n\nApproximate duration of 
 event &amp\; walking distance:&nbsp\;Approximately&nbsp\;2 or 3 hours &amp
 \; 2 km round trip.\nDescription of the events:&nbsp\;David will walk you 
 to the nearby Roche Point Forest an area of old-growth forest which has be
 en dedicated as parkland. He will point out the old-growth Douglas-firs on
 e of which held a Bald Eagles nest\, the characteristics of an old-growth 
 forest &amp\; describe the plant species we will see.\n&nbsp\;\nTrail cond
 itions:&nbsp\;The trail conditions will be a mix of easy and rough trails.
  To access the old-growth trees the trails are rough but not rocky. The to
 ur is not recommended for people with mobility issues.\nBe prepared:&nbsp\
 ;Bring a snack and water.
