Experience riveting storytellers recount wild encounters in odd places.
Are you prepared to leap into the wild? The Tyee and Museum of Vancouver host top authors, community leaders, and professional adventurers recounting weird and wondrous brushes they’ve had with the wild – one in her own backyard. This performative leap into the wild features authors John Vaillant and J.B. MacKinnon, River Expeditions guide Joel Hibbard, Culture Critic Dorothy Woodend and traditional Squamish storyteller Latash-Maurice Nahanee. Wild Moments will be emceed by Editor, Tyee Initiatives, David Beers.

Entrance includes admission to Nature Vancouver’s co-production with the Museum of Vancouver – Wild Things: The Power of Nature In Our Lives exhibition, an interactive show that explores the life stories of local animals and plants — how they connect with each other and how people connect with nature in the city. We encourage visitors arrive early to tour the exhibit, and stay behind for our post-talk reception hosted by Nahanni Wild and Canadian River Expeditions.
Cash bar and light snacks provided.
