Orphaned Wildlife (OWL) Field Trip
Loading Map....
This 2 hour field trip to OWL is an opportunity to gain an understanding of the work that happens at the only rescue, rehabilitation and release facility in BC that specializes in raptor care.
Meet Alice Rose and Sylvia Smallman, long time volunteers at OWL, at 10 am on October 26 for a guided tour of the non-releasable/permanent resident raptors at OWL.
You will see more than 15 species of raptors up close and learn about their role at OWL in helping their own species and educating the public.
We will discuss the risks facing raptors in BC, adaptations of each species and more!
There is also a museum of interesting dioramas to explore and a small gift shop. See more on Orphaned Wildife website at owlrehab.org
Registration is limited to 12 participants. Preregister by contacting ajrose@telus.net. Visitor parking is available and participants will be met at the gate to OWL, located at 3800 72nd St, Delta, close to the Boundary Bay Regional Park.
