New Brighton Park Work Party
Come and help out at New Brighton this coming Saturday, April 19th with the Nature Vancouver led biodiversity enhancement project. Now in its 4th year, we continue to remove invasive plant species and help foster over 2500 native perennial flowers and shrubs provided by the Vancouver Park Board.
This coming Easter Saturday we will meet at 12 noon and work until 2 pm to pull Tufted Vetch, Scotch Broom, Bull Thistle(!) and perhaps even clip some Himalayan Blackberry. The work is enjoyable, as vigorous as you want, and is making a huge improvement in the biodiversity of one of Vancouver’s northeastern parks.
It’s the perfect Easter weekend activity!
