Join leader Vicky Earle for this casual get-together to nature journal and explore Musqueam park in Vancouver. No previous art experience needed. Just bring a pencil or pen and a notebook, sketchbook or journal.

Musqueam Park is a 24-hectare park west of Southlands in Vancouver. A major portion of the park is covered with a second growth forest of red cedar, Western hemlock, alder, cottonwood, and maple forest. More than 30 species of birds have been seen here as well as a variety of animals. Trails and a bridle path weave through the forest and provide lots of opportunity to see birds and other urban wildlife. Musqueam Creek, one of the last salmon-spawning creeks in Vancouver, passes through this Park on its way to the Fraser River. A wildlife corridor also runs through the park from Pacific Spirit Regional Park to the Fraser River dyke.

We will walk a loop through the park and stop to sketch whatever catches our eyes and curiosity.
