Kelvin Yip and Neill Vanhinsberg will co-lead a walk around the park checking ponds, wooded areas, fields and the shoreline for birds. The walk will start at 8:30 AM and last approximately 2-3 hours. This is an easy walk on mostly level ground with a few small hills. Trails are either paved, hard packed or sand.  There will be a limited number of binoculars to lend out if you don’t have a pair.

Our emphasis will be on finding and identifying birds from a beginner’s perspective. Questions are encouraged! You can check out the latest sightings at the park on ebird  https://ebird.org/hotspot/L248470/bird-list

Pre-registration is required and the walk is limited to 15 participants.  Email Neill Vanhinsberg to register: nvanhinsberg@gmail.com  Washrooms are available on site. Nature Vancouver members will be given priority. Pay parking is available in the area and some street parking is free. There are bus stops close to the park. Meet up location will be sent with confirmations.
