Join trip leaders John Chandler and Neill Vanhinsberg for a morning birding field trip to Iona Beach Regional Park in Richmond.  We will explore a mixture of habitats (hedgerows, small wooded areas, marshes, ponds, the Fraser River, beaches, and mudflats) looking for waterfowl, marsh birds, raptors, woodland birds and more.

All birders are welcome from beginner to expert.  The trails are mostly flat but some can be a bit mucky. This walk will be 2+ hours and is limited to 15 participants.

To check out recent sightings at the park you can look here https://ebird.org/hotspot/L261851/bird-list

Please preregister by email to nvanhinsberg@gmail.com. We will send you detailed information about our starting location.

We have a small number of binoculars to lend so if you would like to borrow binoculars for the event, please let us know in your email.
