Hike to Norvan Falls
Join Stephen Hui (author of 105 Hikes and a Nature Vancouver member) for a hike to Norvan Falls in Lynn Headwaters Regional Park on Saturday, March 18. This hike follows Lynn Creek through a lush forest with logging relics to a waterfall.
This longer hike is rated as B5 (moderately strenuous, 5 hours) and is 14 km long with 210 m of elevation gain. There is rough footing in places with slippery roots and rocks as well as several stream crossings. There will be some snow, which could make the hike longer. Good waterproof footwear is essential, as is rain gear and warm layers. Hiking poles are recommended. Micro spikes (traction aids) may come in handy.
Note that this hike is weather dependent and will be rescheduled if weather and trail conditions are poor. Pre-registration is required: janet@naturevancouver.ca.
