In her 7:30 p.m. in-person talk on Thursday, October 15, Dr. Christine Thuring will explore how best practices in urban landscape maintenance can create, maintain, and steward beneficial habitat for wildlife, with emphasis on wild bees.

She will bring a range of visual and tactile demonstration items, including a bee collection display, information cards, brochures, and more.

There will be no Zoom presentation, only in-person.

Dr. Christine Thuring is an interdisciplinary plant ecologist who is passionate about green roofs, wild bees, and healthy communities. Christine co-founded the Native Bee Society of BC, and the Green Roof Infrastructure Network (GRIN). She is a certified Pollinator Steward, and a Meadow Maker at Ecotone: Restoring Biodiversity (https://ecotone-biodiversity.com/).
