Dipper Quest 2023

Nature Vancouver’s annual quest to find American Dippers Will take place Sunday December 3rd, 2023. 

Please email webmaster@naturevancouver.ca to register for this field trip, so we have some idea how many people to expect.

Larry Cowan led the quest from 2006 to 2019 and never failed to find at least one dipper. Michelle Baudais and Harvey Dueck started leading the quest in 2021.

This half day trip will begin at Maple Ridge Park, where we hope to find at least one dipper and maybe a few other birds.  From there we will drive to Jerry Sulina park to bird along the dike for sparrows and waterfowl.  We will end the quest with a drive to the Connecting Road area to look for raptors and gulls.

Carpooling is encouraged because parking is limited, especially at Jerry Sulina.  As covid is still with us, people carpooling from different households are encouraged to wear masks.  Please read the NV COVID policy.
