Christmas Bird Count – Mock CBC/Beginner Bird Walk
Join 2025 Christmas Bird Count coordinators, Michelle Baudais and Kelvin Yip, at Jericho Beach and surrounding area on Saturday, November 22nd at 9 AM for a mock/practice CBC.
This is intended to give beginners (and birders of all experiences) an idea of what to expect on count day on December 20th. We will briefly go over some basic pointers and some guidelines of the count and then go for a bird walk with an emphasis on surveying/counting birds.
Please send cbc@naturevancouver.ca an email to let us know if you will be joining us, and either one of us will get back to you with our meeting location (currently to be determined). If you need any loaner binoculars, we do have a small number that we can lend you for the walk. We will occasionally wander off of the pathways, however the walk is generally flat.
