BIRDS IN A UNIQUE LIGHT
Presented by Liron Gertsman
Join award-winning wildlife photographer Liron Gertsman for an inspiring evening of visual storytelling that explores the beauty, diversity, and wonder of birds in western Canada and around the world. Drawing from years of field experience, Liron shares some of his most memorable encounters—capturing fleeting moments of light, behaviour, and connection that reveal birds in unexpected and compelling ways.
Blending art and science, this presentation offers insight into Liron’s creative process, from fieldcraft and observation to composition and storytelling. Attendees will gain a deeper appreciation for the role of patience, ecological knowledge, and curiosity in wildlife photography, as well as a renewed sense of connection to the natural world.
This presentation will take place online via Zoom. On the Monday preceding the event, Nature Vancouver members will receive the Zoom link in the weekly e-News. The talk will begin at 7:30 pm. Non-members are welcome and should Email zoom-request@NatureVancouver.ca between the preceding Friday and Wednesday to register for the link.
Whether you are a birder, photographer, or simply someone who enjoys nature, this talk will invite you to see birds—and the environments they inhabit—in a truly unique light.
