Join Ly Hoang and Neill Vanhinsberg for a bike tour of urban bird landscapes. We will bike through the Riley Park and Kensington-Cedar Cottage neighbourhoods exploring community gardens, overgrown laneways and other urban habitats looking for birds and wildlife. Since it’s the fall, we’ll be keeping our eyes out for the usual juncos, sparrows and crows, as well as seasonal migrants. Bring your binoculars, and nature journal to sketch or make notes of sites you might want to revisit in the spring. The bike ride will be about 6-8 kms, and there will be some small inclines and downhills but we will be avoiding big hills.

This is our first time trying an event of this type so it will be a bit of an exploratory outing.  Email Neill nvanhinsberg@email.com if you are interested in joining us. Registration is limited to 10 cyclists. Details of where to meet will be provided when you register. Nature Vancouver members will be given first priority but all are welcome.
