Meeting location: ƛ̓éxətəm Regional Park (Colony Farm Regional Park) community garden parking lot. The garden is located at the end of Colony Farm road, accessible from the Lougheed Hwy.

The Colony Farm Park is the best place in the Metro Vancouver area to see the very beautiful Lazuli Buntings. Nesting Eastern Kingbirds, Bullock’s Orioles and many other common breeding birds are present. Depending on the weather, even Swifts can show up.

Bring binoculars or a scope if you have any. Dress for the weather. The trails are very flat; walking will be very easy. Drinking water and washroom is available at the parking lot. Also bring a snack.

If somebody needs a ride to the park I (Istvan B Orosi) could pick up anybody (4-Person maximum) at the 22nd street Skytrain Station along Expo Line in Burnaby.
