The Burnaby Lake Avalon entrance trail is the best place in the Metro Vancouver area to see the Red-Eyed Vireos. All 5-woodpeckers and migrant warblers are nesting in the park with many other common breeding birds. The Red-Eyed Vireos are found in 2 areas; we will cover both of them.

Bring binoculars and a snack. Dress for the weather. The trails are very flat; walking will be very easy. Drinking water and washroom are available at the parking lot.

If somebody needs a ride to the park I could pick up anybody (4-Person maximum) at the 22nd street Skytrain Station along Expo Line in Burnaby.
