Spring migration appears to be in swing at the sanctuary at Hastings Park.  Join Doug Cooper for a two-hour bird walk at the Hastings Park Sanctuary in East Vancouver on Saturday May 2nd at 9 AM.   Great Blue Herons are nesting again at the sanctuary with five active nests present.

The pathway around the sanctuary is wide, gravelled and mostly level.  Washrooms are available on site.   Birders of all stages and varieties are welcome.

Pre-registration is required, and the trip is limited to 12 participants.  Contact Doug Cooper at hdcooper@gmail.com to register for the trip and for information on the meet-up location.  Priority will be given to Nature Vancouver members.  At least one set of loaner binoculars is available on request.
