Antarctica, Falkland Islands and South Georgia – Donna Hogge
Donna Hogge retired from her position as a hematologist/oncologist at the BC Cancer Agency and the Vancouver General Hospital one year ago. Fortunately, she was able to indulge her interests in travel, photography and nature during her working life. The presentation on July 16 consists of images from Donna’s second trip to Antarctica in 2010. On this 25 day trip the Falkland Is, South Georgia and several subAntarctic Islands were visited as well as the Antarctic peninsula allowing a greater variety of penguins, other seabirds, whales and other marine mammals to be seen as well as the fantastic icy landscape.
This presentation will be aired via Zoom videoconferencing. See https://naturevancouver.ca/zoom-videoconference-instructions/ . On Monday July 13, Nature Vancouver members will receive the Zoom link in the weekly eNews. To join, click on that link after 7pm. The talk will begin as usual at 7:30.
