Annual General Meeting and Volunteer Appreciation

(Online via Zoom – invitation will be emailed to members)

The 103rd Annual General Meeting of Nature Vancouver will be held on Thursday, May 27 at 7:30 via a Zoom invitational meeting. Zoom access will be enabled at 7:00 pm for folks who wish to connect with fellow members and long-time friends. The meeting will start at 7:30 pm.

At the business part of the meeting, the President’s and Treasurer’s reports will be presented for approval. Election will be held for the new Board of Directors for 2021-2022. The short business session will be followed by Annual Volunteer Awards and Scholarship presentations. Please join us in this on-line AGM to support the goals and aspirations of our society, more important than ever in these trying times.

Board of Directors – Nominations

Nature Vancouver board can have up to a maximum of twelve Directors. Nine current Board members are standing for re-election. We have one new nomination and need two more. All nominations should be sent to board@naturevancouver.ca by Friday, May 14th. Nominations from the floor are not allowed under the bylaws of Nature Vancouver. 

We would like to acknowledge and thank Jude Grass and Fred Hornby who are stepping down from the Board. Fred will be continuing as a NV representative to the Vancouver Bird Advisory Committee and Jude, although stepping down from the board, will be considered as a lifetime honorary Nature Vancouver board director, font of wisdom and champion of the VNHS / Nature Vancouver.

Nominations received are:

Adele Liu, Angela Bond, Bev Ramey, Colin Clasen, Donna Underhill, Janet Snell, Joan Lopez, Laura Cottle, Nigel Peck.

We are excited to welcome Caroline Penn, who has accepted the nomination to be a Director.

The Nature Vancouver Awards and Scholarships will be presented following the AGM.
