A TREE-IDENTIFICATION WALK IN LITTLE CATES PARK AND CATES PARK IN DOLLARTON, NORTH VANCOUVER

Nina Shoroplova and Caroline Penn are co-leading a 1.5 to 2-hour tree-identification walk of native and ornamental trees and shrubs. The walk on Saturday, May 23 starts at 9 a.m. in Little Cates Park, takes the seashore trail to Cates Park (similar name but a different park), and follows the forest trail back to Little Cates Park. We will be near the ocean, in the forest, and in planted areas.

Please come 15 minutes early to sign Nature Vancouver’s waiver forms. Precise meeting place location will be sent to those who register. Register in advance by email: nina@NatureVancouver.ca. Walk is limited to 20 people. The exact meeting location will be sent to the people who have registered.

Parking is available on local side streets.

Bus from Lonsdale Quay @ Bay 7 to Phibbs Exchange, then
Bus from Phibbs Exchange @ Bay 12 to Northbound N Dollarton Hwy @ Dollar Rd;
Buses from The West End of Vancouver, either 005 or 019 to W Pender St, then
Bus from Eastbound W Pender St @ Granville St to Eastbound Dollar Rd @ N Dollarton Hwy.
