DESCRIPTION:This field trip will start with a guided tour of the Free the F
 ern stewardship areas introduced by founder Grace Nombrado in her presenta
 tion on Thursday evening March 19\, that video is available at this link.&
 nbsp\; This area is adjacent to Red Alder trail and includes the Douglas F
 ir Teaching Garden\, a newly planted community food forest and trailside r
 estoration areas.&nbsp\; Grace's 1 hr tour (1:00-2:00 pm) of this area wil
 l be followed by&nbsp\; a leisurely walk though nearby Everett Crowley par
 k led by Denis Laplante and Teresa Gagné (2:00-3:30pm) to enjoy the nativ
 e plants and birds while viewing and discussing conservation efforts and i
 ssues in the park.&nbsp\; Trails are generally good\, but good shoes and b
 alance are required.\n\nMeet at 12:45 at the top of the playground at the 
 corner of Champlain Crescent and Matheson Crescent.&nbsp\; Transit access 
 via bus #26 or 31.\n\nRegistration limited to 20 people. Please email regi
